Pequea Fluffer Tedders Help Farmers Produce High-quality Hay Harvests
2008-04-15
NEW HOLLAND, Pa., April 15, 2008 — Today’s agriculturalists have many options for tedding hay, but only Pequea’s Fluffer Tedders have helped farmers manage hay for more than 35 years. Available in 7-foot (Model 710) and 9-foot (Model 910) ground-drive or PTO models, Pequea’s Fluffer Tedders gently prevent crop damage and preserve the crop’s maximum nutritional value. Pequea’s Fluffer Tedders enable farmers to ted a swath or break up a windrow by gently lifting hay straight up, allowing it to separate and then fall back down on top of the stubble. This accelerates drying time because air can move through the fluffed windrow while saving the feed value of the hay. It also saves time and excessive crop damage by eliminating the need to re-rake the hay.
Pequea’s Fluffer Tedders feature an easy-to-use cam adjustment lever that allows farmers to change the aggressiveness of their tedding to match drying conditions. The tedders’ rubber mounted tines promote gentler tedding, picking up only a minimal amount of stones.
“Tedding not only offsets the cost of harvesting hay, it helps farmers produce quality hay that can be sold at a higher price,” said Dennis Skibo, owner of Pequea. “Investing in a Pequea Fluffer Tedder and operating it correctly is like investing in hay insurance that promises a cost-effective hay harvest and high-quality forage.”

Pequea Begins Production of Harvest Red Equipment
2008-03-23
NEW HOLLAND, Pa., Feb. 27, 2008 — Pequea announces that all of its rakes, rotary tedders, bale transports and feeders will be painted Pequea’s new signature color, Harvest Red. Dealers can continue to request alternate colors through a custom ordering process. Manure spreaders will switch to harvest red on July 1, 2008. No color change is planned for trailers, fluffer tedders, or chippers.
“Today, customers walk into dealerships requesting Pequea by its brand name,” said Dennis Skibo, president of Pequea. “By using Harvest Red, Pequea will move away from colors identified with other brands and carve out its own distinct identity. When people see our equipment in the fields, they will recognize it as Pequea.”
